Lt. Jim Daws, Atlanta Fire Rescue - Lieutenant

Jim Daws is a 22-year veteran Lieutenant with Atlanta Fire Rescue and previously served 4 years with DeKalb County Fire Rescue. He has worked as a frontline firefighter, fire medic and fire apparatus operator in Fire Stations throughout Atlanta andz is currently assigned to the Fire Chief’s office as project manager for fire station construction.

 

Jim also serves as the elected president of the Atlanta Professional Fire Fighters Association, which is the local affiliate of the International Association of Fire Fighters, a 295,000 member trade union representing the interests of the nation’s professional firefighters and paramedics.  Jim is married to Liz Jensen Daws, who teaches middle school art at The Galloway School. They reside with their two daughters in Atlanta’s Peachtree Hills neighborhood.
